Man Sentenced To Home Detention After Pleading Guilty To Public Indecency

Last updated on Thursday, October 12, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - An 85-year-old Indianapolis man pleaded and was sentenced to house arrest after guilty to two counts of public indecency and one count of criminal trespassing Tuesday.

Edward Uhles was arrested after police say he went to the College Mall on Aug. 23 and Aug. 27 of last year with prop glasses he purchased at Spencer's. The glasses depicted a plastic replica of male genitalia.

He then took these glasses into H&M, unzipped his pants and positioned the glasses inside to resemble his own genital and exposed them to girls at the mall.

Citing Uhles' age and heart condition, Monroe Circuit Judge Marc Kellams sentenced Uhles to three years home detention at the senior living apartment complex where he resides. He was also banned for life from College Mall.

This is not the first time Uhles has been arrested for public indecency, public nudity, indecent exposure and criminal trespassing. He has convictions in several different counties.
