Live Well Lawrence County To Host Mark Fenton On Web Conference

(UNDATED) - Live Well Lawrence County announces in addition to their regular monthly meeting, A special Walk-ability & Health Web Conference will be hosted by renowned public health expert, Mark Fenton.

This discussion will serve as preparation for Mark Fenton's in person site visit to Lawrence County on December 13th and 14th.

Fenton is a national public health, planning, and transportation consultant, an adjunct associate professor at Tufts University's Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and former host of the "America's Walking" series on PBS television.

He has written numerous books, including the best selling "Complete Guide to Walking for Health, Weight Loss, and Fitness" (Lyons Press, 2nd edition 2008).

Currently Mark works with organizations and communities around the country to build environments, policies, and programs that help to create places where more people walk, bicycle, and take transit more of the time.

The Bedford Live Well Lawrence County meeting will be held November 15 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. at the Bedford Chamber of Commerce at 1116 16th Street.
