Harlem Wizards To Visit BNL Oct. 29th

(BEDFORD) - The famous Harlem Wizards will be taking on area teachers and local celebrities in a friendly basketball game on October 29, 2017.

Bedford First Church of God is hosting the Harlem Wizards.

Youth Director at Bedford First Church of God, Randy VanLandingham said, "[Church] decided they wanted to do something about an issue that goes on across our country and that's bullying... These professional basketball players who come in and put on a great show but also have this great anti bullying message that they just want to give out."

The Harlem Wizards are professional basketball players that have mastered all basketball tricks from dunking to ball handling. They travel around the country putting on fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits.

The Harlem Wizards will be taking on area teachers and the following local celebrities: The Sheriff of Lawrence County, Dr. Tod. J. Curtis of Curtis Orthodontics, Joanna Cobb, Katy Key, Matt Canada, Indiana Hall of Fame Player Travis Inman, and others.

"There's tickets on sale. They can buy them at Bedford First Church of God or online at HarlemWizards.com. They're ten bucks. Its cheaper than going to a movie!" said VanLandingham.

The ticket price will be raised at the door to $12.
