Bloomington Man Arrested After Shoving Pregnant Woman, Hitting Man In Face

(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington man was arrested after police say he shoved a pregnant woman and hit another man in the face.

Police arrested 39-year-old Travis Taylor on charges of domestic battery resulting in bodily injury to a pregnant woman, domestic battery, battery and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to a Lawrence County Superior Court I probable cause affidavit, on Oct. 12, A woman called police saying Taylor had injured her and her boyfriend.

Police went to the home in the 4700 block of Old Farm Road and discovered Taylor had fled the scene. The woman told police Taylor got into an argument with her boyfriend about a red Oldsmobile they had borrowed from him. During that argument Taylor allegedly punched the male in the face - twice.

The woman, who is pregnant, attempted to stop the attack and Taylor shoved her to the ground injuring her left wrist and causing abrasions.

Taylor then left in the Oldsmobile. A neighbor who witness the incident told police she saw the vehicle "leave in a hurry." As Taylor fled he scene, the vehicle struck a tree near the driveway and spun out of control and continued down the road.

Later, a man reported to police he found a damaged red car parked in his front yard, the same car police said Taylor fled in.
