Last updated on Wednesday, October 25, 2017

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was killed after she was struck by a car at L and 13th Street Tuesday night.

According to a Bedford Police report, 60-year-old Gina Hancock, of 2104 J Street, died after she was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 73-year-old Carl Mann as she was crossing the street on L Street near Circle K.

Police say Mann was traveling north on L Street saying he didn't have time to stop before striking Hancock as she crossed the street.

Hancock died from internal injuries.

Mann did submit to a blood-alcohol test and those results are pending. This test is standard procedure in a fatal accident investigation.
