(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police Capt. Jeremy Bridges is the department's officer of the month for September.

"A couple of the best things about being a supervisor is when you not only have high caliber people working with you but also have an avenue in recognizing them for the superior service they provide" says Police Chief Dennis Parsley. "
Capt. Bridges consistently demonstrates a high level of proficiency and leadership; many times under extreme circumstances."

This last month the department had a number of calls where the dynamics were vast and Capt. Bridges handled those situation in his usual professional manner.

"On one such call to an unresponsive person, our team and an off duty officer from another department worked together with EMS to treat and then get the person to the hospital and advanced care," Chief Parsley added.
