(BEDFORD) - Ever wonder what Purdue Extension does in the community and how it can help you, now is your change to find out.

All Lawrence County residents are invited to attend an informative panel discussion and open house to show what "Extension Does" for you and our community.

The panel will consist of county officials that will share how Purdue Extension-Lawrence County impacts our community.

Purdue Extension addresses: 4-H/Youth Development, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Health and Human Sciences, and Nutrition Education/Community Wellness.

These booths will help you understand the services and
programs available to you personally.

This exciting event will be held Thursday, November 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds Expo Hall on Hwy 50, southwest of Bedford.

This is a new format for the Annual Meeting for the Lawrence County Extension Board. The purpose is to share with the community and gather their valuable input.

The program for the night will include:

At this meeting, there will be an election for members of the community to serve on the Lawrence County Extension Board. Four members are elected every year and serve for a three-year term. Anyone who has an interest
in the Lawrence County Extension Service can run for the Extension Board. If you or someone you know would be interested in serving, please contact their office at (812) 275-4623 by Wednesday, November 1, to have your name placed on the ballot. We will include your biography on the Purdue Extension-Lawrence County website and in the program for those who want to learn more about the candidates. They have members that have reached their term
limits so are currently looking for board members.

If you have any questions, would like more information, or need to request reasonable accommodation in advance of the event, please contact the Purdue Extension-Lawrence County office at (812) 275-4623 or email Dashia at
