Two Hurt After Car Crashes Into Mobile Home

(MITCHELL) - Two people were injured after the vehicle they were in crashed into a mobile home on Thursday afternoon.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 76-year-old Shirley Terry of Mitchell complained of arm pain and her passenger; Ralph Terry, no age or address were listed on the police reported; complained of body pain.

Police say Shirley Terry was driving east on Stonington Road, near Granny Road, in a 2010 Cadillac CT6 when a deer entered the roadway. Terry attempted to avoid hitting the deer and drove off Stonington Road onto Granny Road. She was unable to stop the car and ran off the roadway striking two mailboxes and a fence. The car then struck a mobile home owned by Jamie Thacker.

The rent of the home says the impact caused things to be knocked out of the cabinets and refrigerator. Police say there was damage to both the outside and underneath the mobile home.
