(BEDFORD) - After a person is diagnosed with dementia they need support, but it can be easy to fall into a habit of withdrawing from being social.
Learn tips on staying engaged with fellow caregivers, people living with dementia and community members at the upcoming free Caregiver University session from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sept. 6, at the Bedford Public Library, 1323 K St, Bedford.

This workshop discusses the peril of social withdrawal and helps those who have had a diagnosis or are supporting a loved one with a diagnosis learn strategies for staying connected to others, community and the world.
Enhancing Communication Within the Family | 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., Nov. 1
Sometimes providing support for your loved one is not the most stressful part of caregiving. Even the most motivated and well-meaning families have conflict at one time or another. Join us to build skill in increasing positive communication within the family.
