Navy Commander Retires, US Air Force Airman Graduates Basic Training

(UNDATED) - Navy Commander Doug M. Reinbold has retired from the U.S. Navy after serving honorably for 21 years.

Reinbold was last serving as a Navy Pilot/Mq-8 Integrated Transition Team Lead with Commander Helicopter Sea Combat Wing, Nasni, Calif.

As a pilot, Reinbold accumulated more than 3,000 hours of flight time in 10 different types of aircraft. He won the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal.

Reinbold is the son of Marion Reinbold and the late Sandra Reinbold of Seymour, Ind., and brother of Betsy Reinbold of Bloomington, Ind. He is also the husband of Jennifer Reinbold and father of Macy Reinbold and Lucy Reinbold.

Reinbold graduated in 1988 from Seymour High School, Seymour, Ind., and earned a bachelor's degree in 1993 from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.

U.S. Air Force Airman William A. Raybern III graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Raybern is the son of Kim and Bill Raybern of Worthington, Ind.

He is a 2017 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, Linton, Ind.
