Motorists Urged To Use Caution On US 231 Because Of Horse And Buggy Congestion

(LOOGOOTEE) - Today a portion of US 231, north of Loogootee, will experience a high horse and buggy congestion.

The Martin County Sheriff's Department says that beginning at 8 a.m. motorists in the area of US 231 between West Boggs Lake and Bramble will see a heavy use of Amish horse drawn transportation near the Amish Green House, south of Bramble.

A wedding will be taking place with attendance expected to exceed 600.

Police are asking motorists to use caution. The heavy congestion will continue until around 9 p.m. Caution signs have been erected in the area.
