(MARENGO) - A Marengo man was arrested Thursday after he told police he had killed a woman and dumped her body in the Ohio River.
Crawford County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Family Social Services building on Goodman Ridge Road in Marengo after a report of a suspicious male outside of the building.
When police arrived they found 36-year-old Dennis Saltsgaver pacing outside of the building and talking to himself.
Saltsgaver told police he had been using meth and had killed a woman from Marengo on Wednesday evening. He also admitted to throwing her body in the Ohio River. He then told police he was growing marijuana at his home.
Police found the woman at her home in Marengo unharmed.
Police did find that Saltsgaver was growing marijuana at his home and he was arrested.
