Linton Man Arrested For Armed Robberies

(BICKNELL) - A Linton man was arrested Wednesday night for the armed robberies of the Fast Trax Convenience and Discount Tobacco stores in Vincennes.

The robbery took place at around 5:30 a.m. Monday morning at the convenience store, located at 601 Old Wheatland Road.

Vincennes Police were assisted in arresting 26-year-old Benjamin Held by Indiana State Police, ATF, the Sullivan County and Knox County Sheriff's Departments.

Held was taken into custody without incident after police learned he was at a home in Bicknell.

In addition to two counts of armed robbery, Held was arrested for charges of possession of meth, possession of Fentanyl, possession of a handgun without a license, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
