Last updated on Thursday, September 7, 2017

(DUBOIS) - The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office says a heart condition caused the driver of a car to veer off State Road 162 just north of the Maltersville Bridge Tuesday afternoon.

66-year-old Larry Fogleman of Greenwood later died from the heart condition at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

His wife, 62-year-old Nancy Fogleman, suffered minor injuries.

According to police, the couple were traveling northbound on State Road 162 at about 3:45 p.m. when Mr. Fogleman lost control of their 2005 Buick LaCrosse south of Schnellville Road.

The car veered off the east side of the road and went down an embankment rolling several times before coming to a stop on its roof in a ditch.

The Foglemans were trapped in the overturned car.
