Last updated on Thursday, September 28, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police detectives are investigating a sexual assault and rape that were both reported on Monday.

According to police, a 19-year-old woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted by a man she knew at a party.

The woman told police the man grabbed her by the waist and attempted to pull down her jeans saying he wanted sex and bit her neck. The woman got away, but then fell and that is when the man grabbed her again. The woman escaped after a friend approached and took her out of the situation.

In the rape case, a 20-year-old woman told police she was at a friend's home on Friday and drank some juice and began to feel dizzy. The woman says there was no alcohol in the beverage.

The woman woke the next morning naked in the male's bed and couldn't remember what happened. The woman then went a local hospital for an examination.
