Washington County Officers And His K-9 Earn Certifications

(WASHINGTON CO) - Washington County Sheriff Roger Newlon would like to congratulate Deputy Paul Ginkins and his canine partner, Leny for recently graduating from an Indiana State Police K-9 school in Indianapolis.

"Deputy Ginkins worked tirelessly on expanding Leny's narcotics certification," Sheriff Newlon says. "He had previously received that certification and his obedience certification."

After completing the 9 week course, Leny is now certified in evidence search, tracking, building searches, aggression control and area search.

"Deputy Ginkins and Leny are ready to do their part to help make Washington County a safer place,"Sheriff Newlon added. "I would like to say thanks again to anyone and everyone who made a donation or contribution to the department's K-9 program.
