(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in an accident at John Williams Boulevard and X Street on Thursday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, 65-year-old Nancy Davis of Heltonville was traveling east in the left lane of John Williams Boulevard and has slowed to make a left turn onto X Street when her 1998 Ford Crown Victoria was hit in the rear by a 2013 Chevrolet Impala driven by 23-year-old Emyrald Yeary of Bedford.

Yeary told police she didn't see the Crown Victoria's turn signal and was unable to stop to avoid the collision.

Davis complained of chest pains, due to a prior heart condition and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Yeary was not injured, but her 9-year-old female passenger suffered a minor head injury but was not transported to the hospital.
