Last updated on Thursday, August 10, 2017

(BEDFORD) - Three teens were arrested Thursday night after a security guard found them inside the Evans Limestone building in the 1200 block of Limestone Drive.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were contacted by a security guard at 6:49 p.m. saying he had two teens detained.

"The security guard found the teens in the building and asked what they were doing," Chief Parsley says. "He then detained them until officers could arrive. The teens had taken several vehicle keys and had them in their possession."

Police took two of the teens 18-year-old Logan Furnace, of Springville and a 16-year-old Bedford male to the police station. They then identified a third teen who was involved.

Police contacted the parents of the 14-year-old male and they brought their son to the police station.

"All three were interviewed and each gave conflicting stories on who did what," Chief Parsley says.

All three were arrested.

Furnace is facing a charge of burglary. The 16-year-old and 14-year-old are facing charges of theft and burglary.

Furnace was incarcerated in the Lawrence County Jail. The two males were transported to the Jackson County Detention Center.
