(BEDFORD) - With more than 27 years of healthcare experience, St. Vincent Dunn Administrator and Director of Pharmacy Matthew Balla received the honor of Governor Eric Holcomb's appointment to the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy. This is a two-year position with Balla's term expiring March 31, 2019.

Matt Balla's career with St. Vincent started in 1990 as a Pharmacist at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He transitioned into Director of Pharmacy at St. Vincent Dunn in 2011, and began serving as the Administrator in 2013. St. Vincent is part of Ascension, the nation's largest Catholic and nonprofit health system.

He has completed nearly 70 triathlons in his lifetime and enjoys playing the guitar, hiking and spending time with his family.

The Indiana Board of Pharmacy consists of seven members appointed by the governor. The seventh member represents the general public, being a resident of Indiana and someone who has never been associated with pharmacy in anyway other than as a consumer.
