Ladies For Liberty To Close Out Orleans Summer Concert In The Park

(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Summer Concert in the Park series closes out its 2017 Season this coming Saturday, August 19th with a special musical performance by “Ladies For Liberty.”

The FREE Concert starts at 7 p.m. and will be on Bicentennial Stage located on the southwest corner of historic Congress Square.



The Ladies for Liberty group is based in the Louisville area and performs in the vein of the Andrew Sisters, a popular World War II singing group. Those attending will hear many of the songs made popular during the war years. The ladies are dressed in replicas of WW II-era costumes. The group interacts with the audience and is very entertaining. The have appeared at countless venues through the years.

Attendees are encourage to bring their lawn chairs as seating in the park is limited.

The 2017 Concert Series is sponsored by the Orleans Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with partners Mid-Southern Savings, Duke Energy and Old National Bank.

The concert is scheduled to take place outside, but in case of inclement weather, a decision may be made to move the concert to the Orleans Christian Church unity hall, which is one block south of the square.
