I-69 Section 5 Announces Closure On Tapp Road West Of State Road 37

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of Tapp Road west of State Road 37 to construct roadway and interchange improvements.
- Tapp Road will be closed west of SR 37 from SR 37 to Danlyn Lane.
- Tapp Road will accommodate Local Traffic Only from the intersection with Leonard Springs Road.
- Motorists traveling to west Tapp Road will be asked to utilize the SR 45 / Second Street interchange. Motorists should proceed west on W. Bloomfield Road then south on Leonard Springs Road to access Tapp Road west of SR 37.
- Motorists traveling to east Tapp Road will be detoured to the Fullerton Pike interchange. Motorists should proceed east on Fullerton Pike then northeast on Rockport Road to access Tapp Road east of SR 37.
- Motorists which typically uses Tapp Road to access SR 37 should utilize the SR 45 / Second Street interchange or the Fullerton Pike interchange (access from Rockport Road only) to access SR 37.
- Access to Fullerton Pike west of SR 37 will remain closed. Medical Park Boulevard and Shaw Road at Fullerton Pike will be open to traffic prior to the closure of West Tapp Road.
- West Fullerton Pike access from Leonard Springs Road will continue to be restricted to local traffic only.
The closure of Tapp Road west of SR 37 will begin on or after Tuesday, August 22 and will remain closed through May 2018.
