(BEDFORD) - Four people were arrested after Bedford Police say the group broke into the old Monon Railroad depot and were living there.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were alerted to a possible break in at the depot at 1221 J Street at 2:25 p.m.
"We had officers go in from all directions," Chief Parsley says. "They found three people inside and one outside."
Police arrested:
Jessica Douglas, 34, Bedford, criminal trespassing
Brandy Baker, 44, Bedford, burglary, criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of meth
Hogan Abner, 29, Oolitic, criminal trespassing
Dennis Ryan, 45, Oolitic, wanted on three warrants for criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a an accident and theft
Police say they found Douglas and Hogan in one room and Baker in another.
Baker was found with syringes and spoon that all had meth residue on them.
"The four had been taking items from the depot," says Chief Parsley. "Officer found mattresses on the floor and other items making them believe the four had been squatting in the depot."
