(SEYMOUR) - A fire destroyed a mobile home Sunday morning in Seymour.

Seymour Fire Department was alerted to the blaze at 4:20 a.m. in the 700 block of Peak Avenue in Village Green Mobile Home Park.

When police and firefighters arrived they were told the family was trapped inside, according to a press release.

Entry to the home was not possible because of the intensity of the fire and parts of the trailer had collapsed.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly and searched the home, but found no one inside.

The fire remains under investigation.
