Dubois County Public Health Partnership To Host 8th Annual Healthy State Of Mind

(HUNTINGBURG) - The Dubois County Public Health Partnership’s 8th Annual Healthy State Of Mind will be held on September 12th at the Huntingburg Event Center.

The program will offer information and inspiration to adults ad caregivers to improve their physical, mental and social fitness. The day will feature speakers, a vendor fair, lunch and door prizes.

Speakers include:

Sr. Betty Drewes from the Sisters of St. Benedict who will speak on "Choosing Life and Growing Gracefully"
Jay Baker with German American Bank who will present on "Scams and Fraud"
Brenda Hagedorn from Purdue Extension Spencer County, who will speak on "Safety in the Home
Sr. Rose Mary Rexing and Kathy Burton from Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center who will speak on "Advanced Care Planning"
Sue Wehr who will present "Faith Community Nursing".
Tina Drew will present a yoga demonstration

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Registration is $10 and must be made in advance by calling the Older Americans Center by September 6th at (812) 482-4455.

More than 100 people and 20 vendors attended last year's event.
