Daviess County Commissioners Pass New Fee Schedule For Vaccines And Services

(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess County Commissioners this week agreed to a new fee schedule for vaccines and services from the County Health Department.

County Health Nurse Kathy Sullender told the Commissioners the changes were necessary to meet the increased cost of vaccines and new regulations.

She also received permission to apply for a State Health Department grant for 50 Narcan kits. Narcan is a brand name for naloxone which treats opioid overdoses.

Sullender reported that between 2012 and 2015, there were five overdose deaths in Daviess County, there were also 25 non-fatal overdoses treated at the Daviess Community Hospital Emergency Room between, 2011 and 2015.
