Join The Boys And Girls Club Of Lawrence County Friday For Back To School Event

(BEDFORD) - The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County is hosting a Family Night on Friday.

The event is free to attend.

"The event is being held to inform parents, members, and nonmembers the type of programming the Club will be offering when it opens again August 10th," says Rhonda Greene, Limestone Unit Director. "Families will be offered tours, meet staff, and have an opportunity to register for the various programming."

There will be vendors handing out free school supplies.

"In addition, the Club invited service providers from the community to participate in the event," Greene added. "The providers will offer child activities as well a some freebies. There will be some door prizes and food."

Joining in the event will be the:

Apron Springs will be serving free chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies, Hawaiian bun sandwiches with ham, macaroni and cheese bites, ham rollups and mini corn dog bites.

The purpose of the event is to register members and celebrate the return of the school season.

Officials also want to thank current Boys and Girl Club members and families and to recruit new members.

The event will also give the public to meet the staff.

There will be activities for families to participate in and a robotic demonstration and sporting events.
