All Tickets And Case Filings To Be Paid At Clerk's Office Beginning Aug. 7th

Last updated on Tuesday, August 1, 2017

(BEDFORD) - All initial filings and payments to Lawrence County Superior Court II will transfer to the Lawrence County Clerk’s Office beginning Monday, August 7th.

According to Lawrence County Clerk Billie Tumey, the change involves payment of all bonds, traffic tickets, small claims, court fees and filings for all small claims and eviction cases.

The change comes after the state mandated all courts shift to the new Odyssey Case Management System. All courts have to switch to Odyssey, following the recommendation of three review committees which oversaw a 10-month procurement process, the Indiana Supreme Court chose Tyler Technologies Inc. to provide its Odyssey Case Management System (Odyssey) to Indiana Courts and Clerks.

The state directed that all monies must now be collected by the clerk and not Superior Court II.

The clerk's office, located in the courthouse, will be closed Aug. 14-28, from noon to 1 p.m.

For further information, call the Superior Court II at (812) 275-4161 or the clerk's office at (812) 275-7543.
