Accident Causes Diesel Spill In Huntingburg

(HUNTINGBURG) - Crews worked until early this morning cleaning up a diesel fuel spill at the intersection of Sixth and Chestnut streets in Huntingburg.

The accident happened just after 11 p.m. Monday night. Police say a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Kaitlyn Kalb, of Oakland City, was northbound on Chestnut Street when she turned west onto State Road 64/Sixth Street and struck a semi-tractor's crashed into the side of a passing International semi-tractor driven by David Fletcher, of Washington rupturing the semi's diesel tank.

No one was injured in the crash.

Firefighter with the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene cleaning up the spill until 12:58 a.m. this morning.
