(BLOOMINGTON) - Last night 10 young professionals under the age of 40 were awarded for the work they do in the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce's 10 Under 40 Awards at the Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center.

The awards are a part of the Bloomington Chamber's hYPe initiative. hYPe stands for "helping Young Professionals excel" and strives to make Bloomington an appealing location for young professionals.

Mat Alano-Martin, a local comedian, was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening as he introduced the awardees.
Kelsey Holt is the Director of Talent, Workforce and Development and she also manages hYPe.

Holt said, "Tonight we are here to support and celebrate Young Professionals. Like so many chambers across the country, our chamber saw the talent pool in our community and saw future leaders in those individuals. Not only did we want to recognize your contributions to the community through our program like 10 Over 40, we also wanted to create a network where young people could connect with each other, engage with the community and also help cultivate them as our future leaders."

Below are the list of the 10 Young Professionals who were awarded for their hard work and success:

  • Maranda Richardson, Co-Owner of FASTSIGNS and Sales Manager at Midwest Color Printing
