State Troopers Recover Stolen Vehicle

(MARTINSVILLE) - Indiana State Troopers from the Bloomington Post along with the ISP Criminal Investigations Division arrested two people after they found them driving stolen vehicles.

The arrests occurred on Monday.

Master Trooper Dan Hearon, of ISP Special Investigations (Vehicle Crimes) conducted investigations with assistance from Morgan County Sheriff Deputies that led to the following arrest.

33-year-old Amanda N. Hornaday of Martinsville was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of a stolen vehicle, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a syringe and driving while her driver's license was suspended with a prior conviction.

Hornaday was arrested after a Brooklyn Police Officer spotted her driving a known stolen vehicle on State Road 67 near Observatory Road.

Trooper Riley Nungester was able to locate the vehicle along with Hornaday and arrested her

In a second incident troopers arrested 33-year-old Michael R. Hadley of Mooresville on charges of theft, driving while his driver's license was suspended with a prior conviction, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a Schedule II narcotic, possession of stolen property.

Hadley was arrested after M/Trooper Dan Hearon spotted Hadley driving a known stolen vehicle on Old State Road 67 near Brooklyn. M/Trp. Dustin Starnes stopped the vehicle along with Hadley and arrested him.

Troopers say Ford F Series pickup trucks are trending right now as being one of the most stolen vehicles statewide.

Troopers are encouraging motorist to take extra precautions and to call the Indiana State Police with any information they have that could lead to an arrest and the recovery of other stolen vehicles
