Daviess County Searching For Business Prospects

Last updated on Monday, July 24, 2017

(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess County Economic Development Corporation is search for business prospects and has launched a national and statewide marketing campaign to bolster its efforts.

Inside Indiana Business reports advertisements touting key Daviess County statistics, features like I-69 and figures about work force, income and population growth will be included in a special, Indiana-focused section of the July 2017 edition of Site Selector magazine.

The fold-out ad will also appear in a prime location in a collaborative publication the Indiana Economic Development Corporation has created with Site Selector to sell the state domestically and globally.

DCEDC Executive Director Ron Arnold says the prominent media placement is a way to get the county's story in front of decision makers.

There could be more than 22,000 ag jobs that are going unfilled every year in Indiana.

That's why the Indiana State Dept. of Agriculture has developed a plan to make sure Indiana is innovating in the field of agriculture.

Dept. of Agriculture Director Ted McKinney told Inside Indiana Business Television that the working environment is constantly changing in the state's $31 billion ag industry.

That's why you'll find a ten-year strategic plan for the state's ag industry on the IN.gov state website.

That plan includes support for improving infrastructure and getting broadband to parts of the state that don't have it yet.
