According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officer responded to the home on River Bluff Road after receiving information that Ingram was living in the garage.

Police were given keys to the garage and when they attempted to enter, Ingram slammed the door and ran to vehicle. A police dog was released in an attempt to stop Ingram, but he was able to get into a blue 1999 Ford Crown Victoria before the dog could catch him.

"Mr. Ingram backed the vehicle through the closed garage door, struck a tree and almost struck one of our officers as he fled," Chief Parsley says.

Officers were able to deploy multiple Tasers through the rolled down windows, but they were not effective.

Officers rushed to their vehicle, but Ingram had sped out of sight.

Police later spotted the car in a backyard in the 3900 block of Washington Avenue. Bedford police requested Lawrence County police to assist.

"Mr. Ingram fled in the vehicle through the backyard went down over a hill and into the woods where it stopped," Chief Parsley says. "He was apprehended and taken to jail."
