(NEEDMORE) - Two people suffered injuries in a crash on State Road 37 and Washboard Road on Friday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 19-year-old Kaitlyn M. Summitt of Springville complained of head pain and 39-year-old Susan Terrell, also of Springville, suffered an internal head injury.
The accident happened just after 2 p.m.
Police say Summitt was traveling east on Washboard Road and was crossing State Road 37 When she pulled her in a 1998 Nissan Altima into the intersection, and the vehicle was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling north on State Road 37 driven by Terrell.
Police say Summitt failed to yield to the right of way.
One driver was airlifted due to the injuries, but the report does not specify which person.
