Springville Heritage Festival This Friday, Saturday

(SPRINGVILLE) - The Springville Heritage Festival is this Friday and Saturday, June 16th and 17th.

Friday night events will start at 6:30 p.m. with the 2nd Annual Picnic in the Park. There will be a rib eye sandwich or hot dog plate with two sides, a drink and dessert for purchase. The sandwich plate is $10 and the hot dog plate is $5.

Bring blankets and chairs for a "good old fashioned picnic."

All the proceeds from Picnic in the Park will go to the Gym Restoration Project to restore the Historic Springville gym that burned down in July of 2016.

Saturday's events will kick off with the 5K run/walk. Registration on-site begins at 6:30 am at the Springville Community Park and the race will begin at 8:00 am.

The cost to participate is $20 and includes a tee shirt. Awards will be presented to the overall female and male winner of both the runners and walkers.

A corn hole tournament will start at 10 AM. There is an entrance fee for the corn hold tournament of $20 per person and there will be a cash prize.

There will be live music all day Saturday.

The parade starts at 4 p.m.
