(LINTON) - Residents on the northern and eastern ends of Linton will be without power early Friday morning.
According to a press release from Linton Utilities, the outage will start at 1 a.m. and last for a few hours.
"The reason for the outage is to set in a new transformer at one of our substations," the release says. "This is necessary to prevent a major outage in the future, as the current transformer is reaching the end of its life."
City customers east of 4th Street. NE and 6th Street. SE are expected to be without power.
