Orleans Summer Concert In The Park Kicks Off Saturday

Last updated on Wednesday, June 21, 2017

(ORLEANS) - The popular 2017 Orleans Summer Concert in the Park series is back and kicks off its 17th Season this Saturday, June 24 with a special performance by BLEND.

BLEND is the a cappella quartet bringing back all those fun-loving memories from the 50s and 60s with a fun twist. Fun for all ages, BLEND is a show you will not want to miss. The group has wowed crowds far and wide at venues such as fairs, festivals and performing arts centers with their amazing a cappella version of classic hits.

This year all concerts will held on the new Bicentennial Stage, located in the southwest corner of historic Congress Square (near basketball court) and begin at 7 p.m. Attendees should bring lawn chairs, blankets etc. as seating in the park is limited.

In the event of rain or stormy weather concerts may be slightly delayed or moved indoors to nearby Unity Hall, directly behind the Orleans Christian Church.

The free musical concerts continue through mid-August and are sponsored by Mid-Southern Savings, Duke Energy and Old National in partnership with the Orleans Chamber of Commerce and Town of Orleans.

Looking Ahead:
