(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence Community School Board of Trustees announces that eligible individuals who are interested in filling the vacant seat on the NLCS School Board should send a letter of interest and a resume to the NLCS School Board President, Kirsten Collier, by Wednesday, July 5.

The Board will review resumes of eligible candidates, and the members of the NLCS School Board plan to be prepared to appoint an individual to fill the NLCS School Board seat at the July 27, Board of School Trustees meeting.
Interested candidates must be a resident of District Five. This area encompasses part of Shawswick Civil Township that lies outside the City of Bedford and west of the following line, to-wit: Commencing at the intersection of the Bartlettsville Road with the north line of Shawswick Township; thence south along the center line of the Bartlettsville Road to its intersection with State Road No. 58; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of State Road No. 58 to the eastern line of the corporate limits of the City of Bedford (as the same currently exists and may from time to time be amended and redefined by annexation); thence in a southerly and easterly direction along the said corporate limit line to White River; AND (2) That part of the Civil City of Bedford lying west of the center line of State Road 37 as was located on January 1, 1965. The final determination of candidate residency eligibility will be made by the NLCS School Board attorney.
