Last updated on Monday, June 19, 2017

(LINTON) - A Linton man was arrested after leading police on a high-speed pursuit on June 11th.

Police arrested 28-year-old Brandon Kendall on charges of resisting law enforcement with the use of a vehicle, theft, possession of meth and marijuana.

He is being held in the Greene County Jail on a $9,500 bond with 10 percent allowed.

On Thursday, Kendall entered a not guilty plea. A pretrial conference is scheduled for July 31 at 2:30 p.m.

On June 11, an off-duty Linton Police officer located a stolen license plate on a vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Two Linton officers located the vehicle exiting the Wal-Mart parking lot and confirmed the license plate had been stolen and attempted to stop after Kendall turned east onto Baseline Road. Kendall immediately sped up refusing to stop. Officers followed the vehicle west on County Road 200 south with the vehicle reaching speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.

When Kendall approached the intersection of County Road 200 South and State Road 59 South, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a ravine.

Kendall was not injured and was arrested. Inside the vehicle police found a glass smoking pipe and a green plant material in plain sight.

Field tests on the smoking pipe reportedly tested positive for meth and the plant material tested positive for marijuana.

Kendall told police the vehicle he was driving belonged to a friend and he had been told the plates were stolen.
