Indiana State Police Looking At Double Digit Raise

Last updated on Tuesday, June 27, 2017

(UNDATED) - Indiana’s state troopers are looking at a pair of double digit raises over the next two years.

State Police commanders say troopers across the state will see two, 12-percent raises for the next two years.

The starting salary for a new State Trooper in Indiana will jump from $41,000 currently to $52,000.

Lawmakers in Indianapolis hope the larger paychecks will translate into more people wanting to be troopers.
