GM To Hold Public Meeting On Environmental Cleanup This Wednesday

Last updated on Tuesday, June 13, 2017

(BEDFORD) - As part of General Motors ongoing commitment to keep the public informed as they progress through the environmental investigation and cleanup at and near the Bedford Plant, they will host a general information session on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the GHD Field Trailer just south of the plant, located near the corner of Fourth Street and GM Drive (enter from GM drive). Parking will be in the trailer's gravel lot.

Officials will also publicize the information shared during the session after the event.

At this session, officials will provide an update of the Bailey's Branch and Pleasant Run Creek restoration project and allow people to visit one-on-one with the project team to talk about specific individual issues.

"I am confident this presentation will address any questions and concerns the public may have about the cleanup and provide ample opportunity for them to ask additional questions," says Cheryl Hiatt, Project Manager at General Motors. "These information sessions are part of our community outreach efforts to keep our community informed regarding the project and also to provide the public with an opportunity to tell us what's on their minds.

Information regarding the project is always available online at: www.BedfordPowertrainCorrectiveAction.com. Copies of all documents are available at the Bedford Public Library and the GM Plant lobby.
