(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Rock Club will host its annual Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show Friday - Sunday at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds.
According to their website there will be a variety of geometric mineral specimens, many fossils, gems and other geologic marvels at the show. Visitors can meet experienced mineral and fossil collectors and watch demonstrations.
"You can see a wide variety of beautiful geometric mineral specimens, a plethora of fossils -- remains of most ancient life, sparkling gorgeous gems and other geologic marvels," said Nelson Shaffer, a club member.
Visitors can meet with experienced mineral and fossil collectors who can explain all aspects of collecting and enjoy demonstrations.
Admission is free.

Besides specimens for sale, there will be silent auctions. Food service will be available.
The show has been going on for more than 50 years.
