Last updated on Friday, June 9, 2017

(DUBOIS CO.) - The annual US Flag disposal ceremony will be held this Friday, June 9, at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds beginning at 7 p.m.

Everyone is invited to bring their worn flags to be properly disposed of no matter the size. All veteran organizations will be represented during this honorable disposal of the US Flag.

The Recycled Teenagers under the direction of Bernie Jeffries will sing the National Anthem and other patriotic songs. The Pledge of Allegiance will be recited and a ceremony to remember our POWs and MIAs will be held. A bugler will play To the Colors and a 21 gun salute will follow to show respect for our country's worn flags. New flags will be available for purchase at this ceremony.

The DCVC would like to thank the 4H Council for allowing the use of their facility, Recycled Teenagers for participating in the ceremony, Dubois County Block and Brick for supplying blocks for the fire pit and the St. Anthony Fire Department for providing the safety for this event.

Some bleachers will be available, or you may bring lawn chairs.
