(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after she crashed her car into a utility pole on Indian Creek Church Camp Road on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Elli Crosby of Bedford was traveling westbound on Indian Creek Church Camp Road when she says a big black Dodge truck was traveling eastbound on the road and came into her lane of travel.

Crosby told police she attempted to avoid a collision with the truck by going into the eastbound lane. Her 2011 Dodge Caliber went off the south side of the road striking a utility pole and landscape and a property post belonging to Larry Muench before stopping.

Crosby suffered minor bleeding to her knee and lower leg.

Assisting at the scene were Oolitic and Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Departments, Bedford Fire Department extrication unit and an IU Health Hospital ambulance.
