(BLOOMINGTON) - College Mall will soon welcome two Indiana-based tenants to its lineup. Azzip Pizza and Piace Boutique will both open later this summer.

Azzip Pizza was founded by owner Brad Niemeier, who won the Burton D Morgan Business Plan Competition as a student at Purdue University with his plan for a fast-casual pizzeria that allows diners to create nearly endless combinations from a wide selection of sauces and fresh toppings.

The first Azzip Pizza opened in Evansville in 2013 and has since quickly grown to six locations. Bloomington's location across from Ulta will be the seventh Azzip Pizza, and will feature both interior mall and exterior entrances.

"Azzip Pizza is excited to join the Bloomington community and we look forward to being a part of College Mall," said Azzip Pizza owner Brad Niemeier. "We can't wait to get open and serve some delicious personal pizza. We've got some unique pizzas coming your way, Bloomington."

Piace Boutique, a student favorite, will move its brick-and-mortar location from Kirkwood Avenue to College Mall this summer. The move will allow the boutique to expand its women's clothing offerings as well as add more gifts, accessories and home goods to its shelves.

"As a locally-owned business, having operated in downtown Bloomington for nearly seven years, we're blessed to have the opportunity now to grow into a much bigger space," said Piace Boutique co-owner Johnna Davis. "We're thrilled to have some exciting new businesses as neighbors, and we think our customers will love the convenient east side location," added Piace Boutique co-owner Heather Short.

Both Azzip Pizza and Piace Boutique will be located in a new wing dubbed "The Boulevard", a 17,000-square foot addition to College Mall near the corner of Third Street and College Mall Drive. The new space consists of retail and small-shop space with exterior entrances and refreshed walkways. Azzip Pizza and Piace Boutique will join Orange Theory and Ulta, among others, in The Boulevard.

"We strive to give our guests shopping and dining experiences they will love," said David Dawson, College Mall director of marketing and business development "Piace Boutique and Azzip Pizza will certainly fulfill their needs."

These openings are one more exciting piece of the recent College Mall expansion project that will bring new retailers to Bloomington. The expansion encompasses more than 75,000 feet total of retail space. The additions are well underway and include ThinkGeek and Red Robin, both of which have already opened. Panera Bread and BJ's Brewhouse will also join the mall lineup near Third Street, and Ulta is slated to open this fall.
