Attorney General Warns About Timeshare Memberships

Last updated on Monday, June 26, 2017

(UNDATED) - Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill is warning residents to use caution and look for any false statements or hidden fees when signing up for timeshare memberships.

Many Hoosiers are invited to a free dinner at a hotel or restaurant with the catch that they listen to a presentation regarding timeshares.

Following the presentation, they're pressured to sign a contract on the spot, not allowing the appropriate amount of time to look over and think about the agreement.

These contracts often have stipulations such as annual maintenance fees hidden deep in the contract that signers aren't aware of because they didn't have time to review the agreement due to the pressure to sign the contract on the spot.
