(SALEM) - Wonder Valley Christian Camp will host “Family Adventure Day” on Saturday, May 13 to kick off the summer 2017 camp season.
The free, open-house style event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the camp, located just off Dog Trot Road, west of Salem. This is a great chance for potential campers and their families and friends to explore the facilities and activities that Wonder Valley has to offer. Campers who have already been to Wonder Valley are encouraged to bring friends along with them.
Family Adventure Day was created to highlight attractions of the camp such as rock climbing, archery and air-rifle shooting range, mini-zipline rides, mini-golf, carpet ball, ga-ga ball, crafts, and much more. There will be free food, information on upcoming summer events and give-aways.
"We are excited for families unfamiliar with Wonder Valley to catch a glimpse of what campers experience every summer," said camp manager Dan Owsley. "There are a lot of families who don't realize what a gem is hidden here in the hills of Southern Indiana. We have summer events for students of all ages, from kindergarten through college. And, while it's not possible to have some of our bigger attractions, like our pool, 4-stage zip line and water slide open that day, visitors will get a good idea of what we have to offer."
