Washington FOP Lodge 101 To Host 17th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service May 15th

(WASHINGTON) - The Washington Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 101 will Host its 17th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service on Monday, May 15th.

The service will take place at 1 p.m. at the Daviess County Courthouse to pay tribute to Law Enforcement Officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.

The public is invited to attend.

In 2016, 135 Federal, State, County, City Officers and Firefighters died while protecting the citizens they served.
All of them are being honored by having their names added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. during this year's service.

In Indiana, one officer was killed in the line of duty and two firefighters died while serving their communities.
