(PATOKA) - Registration is open for the Full Moon 5K taking place at Patoka Lake beach on Friday, June 9th at 9:30 p.m.
Participants will race 3.1 miles through the woods, on roadways, a well-maintained gravel and grass lane and paved bike trail lit by moonlight and luminaries.
All proceeds from this event will go to support Patoka's non-releasable raptors; a red-tailed hawk, eastern screech owl and bald eagle.

This event will bring in visitors from all over the state as well as surrounding states. Event organizers are looking for donors to support various needs of the event. All sponsors will be recognized at the race both visually and verbally and on the back of race t-shirts.
Sponsorship funding will be used to purchase race day essentials like fruit and food for athletes, flashlights, reflective safety vests, and awards.
