(DAVIESS CO.) - A Daviess County man was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Thursday for child molesting.
Daviess County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested 40-year-old Eric S. Allen in January after he was accused of inappropriately touching a female child on multiple occasions between 2012 through 2016.
The victim told police that Allen snuck into her bedroom to perform the acts and had taken photos of her with his cell phone.
Allen at first denied the charges, but then admitted that he had become sexually aroused while touching the victim inappropriately and while watching her dance.
Superior Court Judge Dean Sobecki handed down the sentence after listening to testimony from the victim's mother and grandmother and Allen's sister. A letter from the now 11 year old victim was also read to the court.
Allen was also ordered to be enrolled in the Indiana Sex Offender Management and Monitoring program.
