Last updated on Friday, May 5, 2017

(BEAN BLOSSOM) - The Monroe County dive team responded to two separate calls related to vehicles in flooded roads today.

Monroe County dive team members responded to a call at Anderson and Bean Blossom roads in Northeast Monroe County at 7:30 a.m.

A vehicle was observed mostly submerged in flood water. The driver, a 53-year-old woman was safe and not in the vehicle when safety personnel arrived.

Divers assisted a wrecker operator in connecting cables to remove the vehicle from the water.

The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office says its water rescue team pulled a woman from the submerged car about 1:30 a.m. Saturday south of Columbus. It says she was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
